How are you approaching today?
We always have a choice in the outlook we bring to life. We can see challenges as obstacles that block our path, or we can view them as opportunities to grow, learn, and develop new skills.
Our attitude determines the quality of our lives.
As parents and leaders, we also influence the quality of the lives of others. When we approach each day with enthusiasm and intention—actively looking for the silver lining—that energy becomes contagious. It spreads to those around us and shapes the environment we create.
That’s one of the reasons a strong morning routine matters. When you begin the day on a high note, you are far more likely to be productive, focused, and intentional—and you set the tone for every interaction that follows.
Positive energy is infectious. It can be the difference between success and failure, not just for you, but for the people you lead and serve.
Unfortunately, the same is true of negative energy. One person complaining can bring down an entire team.
As leaders, adversity is not optional—it’s guaranteed. The difference is how we respond.
Athletes understand this well. You must have a short memory. Mistakes will happen, but if you dwell on them, you increase the likelihood of making another and miss the next opportunity.
Stephen Curry doesn’t stop shooting because he misses. He expects the next one to go in.
Our circumstances do not define us.
Our response to them does.
So how are you showing up today?
And more importantly—how will you choose to be a beacon of light for others?
