Daily Reflection

“You miss 100 percent of the shots you do not take.”
— Wayne Gretzky

At times, we allow the fear of failure to prevent us from taking the very actions that would move us forward. That instinct may feel safe, but it quietly limits our upward trajectory.

We were not born afraid to fail. If we had been, we never would have learned to walk or talk. None of us stood up on day one and sprinted across the room. We fell. We adjusted. We tried again. Fear of failure is learned.

At some point, we began worrying about how we looked to others. We started allowing their potential opinions to guide our decisions. Comfort replaced courage.
Wayne Gretzky reminds us that staying inside our comfort zone may protect us from small failures, but it guarantees something far worse – unrealized potential.
We cannot score if we are afraid to shoot.

We cannot achieve greatness without venturing beyond what feels safe.
When we reframe failure as learning and growth, we open the door to becoming what God intended us to be. With risk comes reward. Without it, only stagnation.
On their deathbeds, most people regret the risks they did not take far more than the mistakes they made along the way.

Do not let your light remain hidden.

Take the shot. Chase the dream. Discover what is possible.
