Do you allow the fear of failure to prevent you from taking action toward your dreams?
Babe Ruth was one of the most prolific hitters in baseball history. For years he held the all-time home run record. Yet during his era, he also held the career strikeout record. In fact, he struck out nearly twice as often as he hit home runs.
Still, he is remembered as one of the greatest players of all time.
Because he did not allow the fear of striking out to prevent him from swinging. He understood that every strikeout was simply part of the process.
All of us will encounter adversity. All of us will fail at something. The question is not whether failure will come. The question is how we will respond.
We can allow failure to define us, or we can learn from it, grow through it, and continue moving toward what we aspire to achieve.
When you cultivate a positive mindset, you begin to see opportunity where others see only problems.
All of us are capable of greatness. We simply need to believe – and keep swinging.
