It is easy to blame circumstances, other people, or external forces. When we do that, we give away our agency and shrink our circle of control.
We may not control everything that happens around us, but we always control how we respond.
We determine where we want to go – our vision. We determine how we will get there – the values we choose to live by. And we determine who we allow onto our bus.
If we surround ourselves with energy vampires, we will adopt negativity. If we surround ourselves with positive, growth-oriented people, we are far more likely to stay optimistic and resilient.
