Daily Reflection
March 30, 2026
“Do one thing every day that scares you.”
— Eleanor Roosevelt

What did you fail at yesterday?

That is a question that Sara Blakely said her father used to ask her every evening at the dinner table. His intent was simple but powerful — to encourage his children to take risks and to grow.

Stepping outside your comfort zone is never easy. It requires courage to face the twin fears that hold so many people back: the fear of failure and the fear of rejection.

Putting yourself on the line is hard. It always has been and it always will be.

But when you take risks, fail, and pick yourself up off the canvas to try again, something powerful begins to happen. You develop resilience. You discover strengths and talents you never knew you possessed.

You may never eliminate the hard things in life, but you can learn to handle them more effectively.

One way to do that is to try something that scares you every day.

Each time you do, you grow a little.

By the end of a year, you will have grown 365 times.

Many people overestimate what they can accomplish in a short period of time, but dramatically underestimate what they can achieve over the course of a year.

If you are willing to grow a little each day, your biggest dreams begin to move within reach.

Growth takes courage.

But the beautiful thing is that courage grows as you exercise it, slowly replacing the limiting beliefs that once held you back — beliefs that were often nothing more than perception rather than reality.

So here is a question worth asking yourself today:

What scary thing will you try today?
